One of the most common questions we get is: “Where is the Rameking® made?”

We’re proud to answer: right here in the USA!

Of course, we’d be lying if we said the thought of manufacturing overseas never crossed our minds. As a startup, every dollar matters. When we began the process of creating our titanium mold—the one used to inject the plastics—China offered to do it for nearly 50% less. Saving more than half on a mold that cost $58,000 was tempting.

But here’s the thing: the only advantage was cost.

Instead, we partnered with a family-owned shop in Cambridge, Ohio that came highly recommended by our injection molding partner. This “mom-and-pop” business has been making molds for generations, and their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and pride in their work were unmatched. An added bonus? When we need quick modifications or customizations, they’re right down the road—not halfway across the globe.

When our beautiful titanium mold was finished, the question came up again: should we produce the Rameking® in China? Once again, the numbers looked cheaper. But the choice to stay local was easy.

We partnered with Olan Plastics , a trusted company in Canal Winchester, Ohio that has been injection molding for generations. Not only did they guide us through the complexities of plastics and design, but they also celebrated each milestone with us along the way.
